During their time at TMA, we help our children to understand that people commit themselves to beliefs and causes.  We want our Religious Education Programme to contribute to the development of our pupils as individuals and members of society, and we want to foster a reflective approach to life in the context of a growing understanding of the experiences, attitudes, beliefs and religious practices of mankind.

Collective Worship takes place every day, either as a whole-school group or as a mixed or single year group gathering.  Collective Worship at TMA is of a broadly Christian character, since it reflects the broad traditions of Christian belief, without being distinctive of any particular Christian denomination.  Moral themes (such as honesty, empathy, tolerance, justice, community, selflessness, leadership, etc.) form the basis of most teaching during Collective Worship at TMA.

Parents have a right to withdraw their children from receiving RE or taking part in acts of Collective Worship, and parents are not obliged to state their reasons for seeking such withdrawal.  However, the Headteacher must be informed prior to any parent exercising their right in this way.
