As we are a large school we have allocated specific dropping off and collection points for your child, in order to avoid any confusion at the beginning and end of the school day.
Year 3
All Year 3 children must be brought to, and collected from, the top playground at the beginning and end of the school day. Year 3 children should be taken onto the top playground every morning where they will line up with their class. The class teacher will arrive onto the playground at 8.40 and will escort their line into school for the start of the day.
Each evening children will be returned to their line on the top playground and wait with their teacher for collection. If for any reason a child is not collected, they will be taken to reception where Parents/Carers will be contacted.
Year 4
For the first week of term parents should take their children onto the top playground where they will meet their classmates and teacher. However as the term progresses they will feel confident to meet their friends on the top of the slope and walk to their line independently.
Again, for the first week we ask that you collect your child from the top playground. However, as their confidence grows they will be dismissed from their classroom and make their way to the top of the slope and follow any arrangements you will have made with them.
Year 5 and 6
Year 5 and 6 children will enter school via the bottom gate on Clay Hill and the large middle gate respectively, and congregate on the bottom playground where they will be collected by their teacher. They will be dismissed from their classroom and leave school via the same gates.
