A treasure map

by Dakshesh

One late night, my mum ordered me to go and get some chocolate.  She told me that it was in the attic.

“The attic?  What an absurd place to keep food!” I thought.

I went to the attic.

Suddenly I spied a shiny bottle.  “What would happen if I drank it?” I questioned myself.  I grabbed the bottle and drank the potion.

Suddenly I was in a deep daze.

When I woke up, I found that I was sleeping inside a pirate’s cabin.  I opened one eye and “ARGGGGH!”  A pirate was about to stab me with a glistening, silver dagger

“Silver tooth!  Don’t you dare touch that boy!” bellowed the captain.

“Uh, uh okay Captain Pearl” stammered Silver tooth.

The captain said that he had given me a job to do and it was to find the diamond eye of Crows.  He handed over the map to me that would direct me to where it was hidden for a thousand and one years.

I was given a little boat.  I set off.  The first place I had to reach was Skull Island.  It had a cave that went underwater and reached an enchanted land called Scandinavia, home of the Vikings.

When I found the cave, I started creeping down the cave.  I was terrified of the cave.  Sooner or later I did realise that the path was narrowing and narrowing.  Suddenly I got a brilliant idea!

I climbed on top of the wall that was narrowing and got to Scandinavia.

Suddenly, some fierce looking Vikings attacked me.  While I was running I glanced at the map.  It directed me to go to the temple of Odin.  The eye was in front of Odin’s statue.  As soon as I got to the temple I looked in front of the statue.  The diamond eye was nowhere to be seen.  There was only one single coin.  I smiled.  It was enough as I had found the Kavis coin, missing for a hundred years.

Suddenly, I found out that I was at home and it was the same minute as when I had left.  My mum said, “There you are, have you got the chocolate?  You must be having fun up there because it’s taking so long.”

I replied “Yes!”

Well nobody could say that the adventure wasn’t a super, spooky one!

The treasure hunt

by Abigail

One evening my friends came to stay over.  They were Amelia, Demi and Aaron.  The next morning I went to watch TV with the others.  We watched ‘The suite life of Zack and Cody’, as well as ‘Hannah Montana’.

Then we all got thirsty, so I went to go and get some drinks.  I got the glass, transparent cups.  In one of the transparent cups I found an old, ripped piece of paper.  I said, “Guys, come in here!”

Only Amelia and Demi came.  Then Amelia shouted, “Aaron, get in here!”

I said, “It’s a treasure map.”

Aaron said, “I should have been here a minute ago.”

“Wait!” said Demi.  “Look on the back!  Look tsrif pets si pets tfel”.

“What does it say?” said Aaron.

“Its backward writing silly”, said Demi.

“Me and Amelia have just figured out what it says.”

Demi and Aaron both shouted out, “WHAT!”

“Ok, Ok it says first step is step left.”

“Well then if the first step is step left what are we doing standing here then?  Come on lets see where we need to start”.  So Amelia got the treasure map.

“It says to start in the attic”, whispered Demi.

So we all went up the creaky staircase.

I opened the door.  There was an enormous goo monster.  It had a massive tag saying

I slammed the door.  Little bits of the brown paint were coming off the door.  Then we all ran down the creaky stairs.

“Wait!” Amelia said.

“No not wait!  Come on”, shouted Aaron.

Amelia went back to the attic.  I stopped.

Aaron said, “Come on”

Aaron and Demi kept running.

“Amelia is my best friend, I have to help her!”

So I caught up with Amelia.  We opened the attic door.  The goo monster was still there.  He grabbed us both and we went into a sweet world.  Then Demi and Aaron came to help us.  The same thing happened again.  The goo monster grabbed them both.  They went into sweet world too.

We saw each other in lolly world then I spotted an enormous treasure chest.

The treasure map

One late summer night my mum told me to go up into the attic to get her new curtains down.  As I was up there a box fell and hit me on the head.  Then I noticed that a map fell out and when I touched the map it sucked me up into a pirate’s world.

Captain Jack ordered me to give him the map and made me jump into the freezing, cold water.  I pretended to fall into the water but instead I hung on a window near by and when he wasn’t looking I swung in through the window.

When I was safe inside I looked around and found a pirates weapon.  It was a dagger and then I sunk up behind Captain Jack and stabbed him in the heel.  This was his week spot.  Then I became the Captain and frightened all the pirates off the ship.  Then they got eaten by a great white shark and an ugly, greyish-blue shark like sea monster.

I wished my friends and my dog were there with me and the wish came true.  I was so happy for them to be there so I told them the whole story and I asked them if they would help me find the treasure.  They said yes.

Then we looked at the map.  The map told us to solve a problem and then….. We got trapped in a great heavy cage that had spikes on the inside which nearly killed us.

But we survived.  In the cage there were ropes.  When we got to the other side we got shot by shrinking machines and we turned into the size of mice.  I told everyone to get on the map and then we were home, back to our normal size.

Then I shouted “Goodbye!” and got the curtains down and then put the map in my bedroom and went back to the attic and looked in the very same box and found some silver and gold.

The secret treasure

by Demi

One night my mum called me to get her eye drops that where in the attic.  So I went up the dark, creepy, frightening staircase and went through the broken wooden door way.  I found my mums eye drops on a dusty ripped box.  So I looked inside it and I was sucked into another world with a treasure map!

There was a ..a…a…a..p…p..pirate ship  coming my way!  I needed to hide!  There was a cave so I crept slowly into the deep, dark, spooky, frightening cave.  Then I looked up… there were bats sleeping above me.  I was terrified! “Nooooo!”

The bats woke up.  They chased me into the spooky cave!  Then I found a tunnel so I went in the dark tunnel so the bats did not see me.

Luckily I was safe.  The tunnel lead somewhere but where did it go to?  Who knows?

So I followed the tunnel.  It went to the pirate shop that nearly kidnapped me!  Then all of a sudden I heard all of the pirates were coming back onto the ship.  “Noooo!” I shouted.

They had my best friend Summer.  They had her tied up.  Then they threw her on the ground where I was then.

When the pirates were not looking I untied Summer and we quickly leapt off the pirate ship.

We saw a bottle lying in the sand and it had some writing on it.

It was some magic words that returned us back home.

The treasure map

One dark, winter’s night I am in my bed.  Suddenly I get thrown out of my bed and I can hear a rumbling sound.  Then I can hear my mum calling me.  So I creep downstairs and open the creaky kitchen door and I go in.

Suddenly out of the corner of the room I see something sparkly and shiny.  I go over and pick it up.  It is a treasure map!  It tells me to dig a tunnel into a dungeon underground.

So the next day I cautiously creep out of the house and cross the road and start to dig the tunnel.  The tunnel is very long, I thought.  Maybe I should turn back.  Suddenly I fell into a different world.

“Lava!” I shouted.

“Who spoke?” bellowed a huge giant pirate.

I slowly slid beside some green slimy goo.

Then I heard, “Here you go.  I suppose you are looking for this”, said the giant and he handed me the treasure.

“Thank you”, I whispered.

Suddenly he vanished into thin air.

“Mum!” I called.

Then I closed my eyes and I appeared in bed.

“Honey”, said mum.  “Morning.”

“Look mum”, I yawned.  “A treasure map and treasure!”

“Wow! Where did that come from?”

The scary treasure hunt

by Amber

It was Saturday morning.  I stomped down the stairs.  I had my breakfast.  After that I got dressed and I went to my friend’s house.  We played in the attic.  I fell over and a box fell off the shelf.  Something fell out.  It was a treasure map with torn edges.

There were some strange looking monsters on it.  We looked at it for a while and then went on playing games.

It was the end of the day and I went back home.  Then I went to bed.  When it was midnight I heard some strange monster noises.

“Ugh Argh Grrrraaaaaaaaa”

I opened my eyes as quickly as possible.  I couldn’t see anything so I thought it was just a dream of my imagination.

I fell back to sleep again and fell through my bed and landed in a scary world with dark, grey colours

Some green, slimy creature appeared.  I touched it and I said to myself, “Is it a monster?  Is it a monster?”

It WAS a monster!

I ran to find a door.  There was no door.  No space to find a different world or my own bedroom to escape.

I found a piece of paper floating down from the sky.

I picked it up.  It said “You have to do a task to go back home”.

The task was to find the king of the monsters.  I thought it was going to be easy but it was not easy.

I looked up and down, all around, but I could not find the king monster.

I walked 8 miles then I stopped at a huge, old castle.  I went and tapped on the massive door.  This huge, fat monster with one eye and blue hair and orange skin came out.  I was dumbfounded.

I gulped “Ar…ar….are you… you the king of this land?”  I said in a scared voice.

The king monster said “Yes I am” in a deep voice.  “You have found me I will give you a pathway to go home” he said.

A pathway appeared in front of my eyes.

I stepped inside and ….. Suddenly in a WOOSH! I was home, safe and sound.

I only had 5 hours sleep.  I was really tired the next morning but I had lots of fun things to tell my mum.

The map!

by Hasnain

In the garden I was busy planting my beautiful roses when, suddenly I found a golden treasure chest.  Inside it was a rusty, old, smelly treasure map.  On it was blood, caves and haunted forests.  But there was no start and no finish!

However, there were some difficult riddles which I knew my friend would be able to help me with.  His name is Dijay, the mathematician.

So we set off for the dangerous journey.  First we went to the haunted quiet area.  There were metal monkeys that were swinging mentally.  Just like they were possessed by the devil.  All of them had red bloodshot eyes.  Then we found a riddle and it said “If you complete this difficult riddle you will get an adventurous warrior to help you.”

The riddle said “roirraw3” so Dijay worked it out.  He said “Its warrior backwards!  We must have to say warrior 3 times.”

He bellowed “Look!  The writing has changed it now says, ‘The warrior is in the enchanted field’.”

So we sprinted to the enchanted field.  The warrior was locked up in a mysterious cage.  It had another riddle attached to the cage.  It said “arrwrio”.  So then I worked it out and once again it said “warrior” but this time it had all the letters mixed up.  We both shouted warrior and unlocked the cage.   He gave us both swords.

We looked at the map and it said “You are nearby the treasure”.

We saw something sparkling underground.  It must be the treasure.

And it was!

The treasure was gold and wonderful.

So we sprinted home and I told my mum the whole adventure that we had been through.
